Advocacy and Inclusion

At Raising Gabdho Foundation(RGF), advocacy is a core part of our work to support fair, dignified, and resilient communities. We engage with refugees, host communities, women, youth, and other groups whose perspectives are often overlooked, ensuring their concerns and priorities are heard in spaces where decisions are made. Our advocacy addresses barriers that limit access to resources, opportunities, and services, while promoting fairness and inclusion across community life.

Our work is grounded in close engagement with communities. We listen, learn, and reflect community experiences in dialogue with local leaders, civil society, and development partners. By drawing on real situations faced by communities, we encourage practical and locally relevant responses rather than abstract or imposed solutions.

Inclusion guides how we work, not just what we advocate for. We support processes that enable meaningful participation and shared responsibility, recognising that communities are diverse and that lasting progress depends on the involvement of all members. When people are included, trust is strengthened and collective solutions become more sustainable.

Through advocacy, we also seek to improve access to essential resources and livelihood opportunities that support long-term wellbeing. We recognise that challenges such as poverty, displacement, environmental stress, and limited economic opportunities are closely linked, and we promote responses that address these realities in an integrated way.

Our advocacy and inclusion efforts aim to contribute to systems and practices that are responsive, accountable, and grounded in community realities. By strengthening community voice and promoting fairness, we work toward societies where development efforts benefit everyone.
