With over 11,000 direct beneficiaries, Raising Gabdho Foundation (RGF) recognizes the vital connection between energy access and human development. Over the eight years, we have significantly expanded our focus on the energy sector, establishing ourselves as a key player in promoting sustainable energy solutions. As a member of various energy alliances and programs, RGF is dedicated to transforming lives through improved energy access.

RGF is known for its deep understanding of local communities and its unique integrated approach, which combines education, awareness-raising, and ecosystem support to foster sustainable energy solutions.
Our Engagement
Our engagement in the energy sector includes a variety of integrated activities currently being developed and implemented across different projects:
Productive Use of Energy (PUE) Promotion: By promoting the productive use of energy, we enable communities to leverage energy for economic activities, enhancing their livelihoods and economic resilience.
Energy Efficiency: We promote the use of energy-efficient appliances, both for off-grid and on-grid applications. Our training and awareness-raising campaigns target households, schools, and communities, with a particular focus on informal settlements and rural areas.
These initiatives help reduce energy consumption and lower household energy costs.
Carbon Credits for Energy Access: We leverage carbon credits to enable energy access and affordability. By participating in carbon credit programs, we generate additional funding to support the implementation and scaling of renewable energy projects, making clean energy solutions more accessible to low-income communities.
At Zeed Energy, we are actively promoting renewable energy technologies such as off-grid mini-grids for rural communities, solar home systems (SHSs), bio-digesters for farmers and households, improved cookstoves, and briquettes. We are also facilitating the development of the renewable energy ecosystem through market studies and access to finance, aiming to create a robust market for renewable energy products and services. These efforts are geared towards providing reliable and sustainable energy to underserved areas.
Through the Zeed Store, a community impact hub for sustainable products, we bring together local distributors and create a platform where sustainable solutions are accessible to everyone. This platform also connects a network of service providers, ensuring comprehensive support for all our customers. By linking communities with sustainable options and a network of expert service providers, we are fostering economic growth, improving living standards, and contributing to a greener future.
