By providing resources and training on farming techniques, building infrastructure for irrigation, storage, value addition and supporting the development of local markets and networks.
RGF plans to scale sustainable agriculture to increase presence and position in kitchens
by providing a variety of products but also reducing the time people spend shopping different items from different service providers.
Currently RGF is implementing the REBUILD (Refugees in East Africa Boosting Urban Innovations for Livelihoods) project in partnership with IRC. Urban sustainable griculture and food security is one of the key components for this project.
We also believe that by engaging communities in different value chain stages (inputs,
production, harvesting and post harvesting handling, distribution, marketing, sales, value added processing and waste management), RGF creates income generating activities there by enabling the people to make dignified choices on their consumption.
